The biology department at CR focuses on four main areas. The first is the courses for biology majors: cell and molecular biology, zoology, and botany. The second is courses for nursing majors and other health science professionals: human anatomy, physiology and medical microbiology. The third is general education courses: general biology, marine biology, and environmental science. The fourth area is natural history. CR is located in a beautiful coastal area of Northern California and thus students have easy access to many different natural habitats. Some of the natural biology courses include birds of the North Coast, mammals of the North Coast, and wildflowers of the North Coast. |
