The logistic model refers to the function

This function models population growth in the presence of limiting conditions (finite
food supply, limited space, etc.). As time x ->
, the population f(x) -> c, so
the value c is called the carrying capacity.
The applet below illustrates the graph of the logistic model and shows how changes in the parameters a, b, and c affect the graph. The red graph is f(x)=c/(1+ae-bx), and the green graph is the carrying capacity g(x)=c. Use the sliders to explore the effect of changing the values of the parameters.
