Please make sure to get one that is bound (not just loose paper), and please make sure it has graph paper in it.
The CR bookstore generally carries these for about $2; other places sell them too.

A limited number of calculators are available for rent from the Math Department.

  • Textbook available to registered students at the CR Library. You can get yourself your own copy but we use an older edition so it is not sold in the CR Bookstore. If you do get your own copy, be sure to check the following:
    • Calculus, by James Stewart
    • 5th edition
    • Early Transcendentals
    • Make sure it does not say "Single Variable" or "Mutivariable" on it

    Note that you could check one out of the library even if you plan to buy your own. Then, after you have gotten one for yourself, just return the library book.
